Zoë first contacted us almost a year ago to start thinking about the flowers for her wedding taking place in The Black Barn, Rushall Farm. The barn is stunning, set in the middle of the Berkshire countryside with fields as far as you can see. With this stunning backdrop, we took full inspiration from the barns surroundings when designing the bridal bouquet and table centres for the wedding. Zoë's wedding bouquet was filled with English grown roses, scented stocks, sweet peas, lisianthus and hints of scented Baby Blue eucalyptus, it certainly smelt amazing! Collections of old glass jars filled the […]
There is nothing better than receieving an email/thank you card/letter from a Bride to say thank you for all of your hard work, and most importantly that they loved what you did! and when the email/thankyou card/letter is packed full of images it literally makes my day. So imagine my excitement at opening an email from Sarah (you know who you are !) and letting me sneak a peek at the photos of our flowers. I love them!
Its wedding day! so another early start and croissant for breakfast (secretly I like getting up early, the pastry at 7.00am is worth it!) Am really excited about white rose and freesia bouquet! Have them all lined up on the counter and the shop smells amazing! The girls made the table centers late yesterday ... can't wait to see them on the tables in the marquee at Basildon Park. Finally have managed to take some pictures (hurray!) click to make them big!
We thought we'd send Pip off with a bang and head to the Naval and Military Club in London's St James' Square to celebrate her last wedding with Green Parlour before joining the Dutch in Amsterdam (I'm hoping she grows a new variety of tulip and lets us have exclusivity!) What a day for it, temperatures hit 32c and we drove past Harrods along with other famous London sights - it was a bit like crossing off the road names on the Monolopy board and boy oh boy did we feel like we were from the home counties! How over the moon were we when we got to base a whole wedding around our favorite summer flower - Hydrangeas! Add on top of that the vintage brief and we were literally falling over ourselves with excitement. Can't wait! After months of planning the week of the wedding was upon us and it was time for us to get up extra early to collect over 100 hydrangea stems ready for the big day along with Bombastic spray roses, eucalyptus, Faith roses and delphiniums Glass polished, best aprons donned and off to Lains Barn, Wantage for a day of perfect […]
Chloe and James certainly spread the love, not only with the fantastic home made jams on the table as wedding favors (mine pot donned many a crumpet) but the sheer amount of work they put into the barn, really making it their own! The food menu read like a dream ... check out http://www.potkilnanywhere.co.uk/ for some fantastic food .. yum! Spread the love by clicking the images below!
