Someone once asked me what my favorite combination

Someone once asked me what my favorite combination of flowers was. The truth is, like any good florist, I’m endlessly fickle—falling for anemones in spring, garden roses and herbs in summer, late-blooming hydrangeas and dahlias in autumn, and all the texture and foliage that winter brings.

Maybe it’s the colors, maybe it’s the shapes, or maybe it’s just the feeling they evoke—but right now, this might just be up there with the best. Subtle, with a slight mauvy pop of hellebores, the sweet scent of lilac and stocks, and of course, my current favorite: anemones.

As I sit on the cusp of another wedding season, I find myself reflecting on the bouquets from years past. A reminder of the combinations I’ve loved, the colours and fashions over the years, and the flowers that told their own quiet stories. Forget-me-nots remain one of my favourite spring blooms—symbolising true love and a promise to keep someone close in your thoughts.How apt to have them included in your spring bridal bouquet.

Happy St Valentine's Day

Today, I’m surrounded by all the love you’ve chosen to send — from flowers to friends, bunches of tulips celebrating new relationships, to memories of a love that’s lasted a lifetime.

I get it — Valentine’s Day can sometimes feel a bit clichéd. We shouldn’t need one day to remind us to show love, but there’s something quite special about celebrating it in all its forms. A collective day of love really isn’t such a bad thing, is it?

Did I get flowers? No! Instead, I haphazardly arranged a jar of leftovers to take home to my family, and we’ll enjoy it all together with a takeaway on the sofa.
But there’s no rest for the love-struck — it’s back to the flowers tomorrow.

I'm a self confessed tulip-a-holic and there is nothing better than receiving a gorgeous bouquet filled with vibrant double tulips arranged with seasonal foliage.
