Mentoring for Florists

Seasonal workshops and floristry at The Green Parlour Flower School

MENTORING FOR FLORISTS

Running a floristry business involves far more than flowers.

Alongside the creative work there is pricing, marketing, planning seasonal peaks and making constant business decisions. These are often the parts florists find hardest to navigate alone.
After many years running Green Parlour, I have come to realise that most florists do not struggle with the flowers themselves. It is the business side that can feel overwhelming.

Mentoring provides a space to step back from the day-to-day running of your business and talk things through with someone who understands the realities of the floristry industry.

Whether you are at the beginning of your floristry journey or have been running your business for some time, mentoring offers practical guidance, clarity and support.
About Emma
I'm Emma Sampson, florist and founder of Green Parlour.

I've run Green Parlour for the last 20 years, taking my business from floristry shop to a flower studio, creating flowers for hundreds of weddings, events and seasonal occasions, alongside running a growing Flower School.

Over that time I have navigated the many challenges that come with running a floristry business. Pricing flowers, managing busy seasons, marketing effectively and building a business that feels sustainable both creatively and financially.

Alongside my own work, I now support other florists who would like guidance with the business side of their work.

Mentoring is not about rigid formulas or one-size-fits-all advice. Every florist and every business is different. Instead, it is about thoughtful conversation, sharing experience and helping you find clarity in your own decisions.

What We Can Work On Together
Mentoring sessions are tailored to your business and the areas where you feel you need the most support.

This might include:

- Pricing bouquets and products with confidence

- Planning your seasonal offers and product ranges

- Preparing for busy periods such as Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day

- Improving marketing clarity and attracting the right customers

- Structuring your website or social media presence

- Guidance on email marketting and how it can work for you

- Navigating business decisions and next steps

- Building confidence in the way you run your business

Some florists arrive with very specific questions, while others simply want a space to talk through their business and gain perspective.
Both approaches are welcome.

Who Mentoring Is For

Mentoring is designed for florists at many different stages.

You may be:

- Starting your floristry business and looking for guidance

- A few years into your business but feeling stuck or overwhelmed

- Wanting to refine your pricing, marketing or product offers

- Preparing for growth or a shift in direction

- Looking for reassurance and clarity in your decisions

Running a creative business can sometimes feel isolating. Mentoring offers a supportive space to explore your ideas and challenges in a safe space with someone who understands the industry.

How Sessions Work
Mentoring sessions are held online via Zoom.

A typical session lasts 90 minutes, giving us time to explore your questions and discuss your business in depth.

Before the session you will have the opportunity to share a little about your business and the areas you would most like to focus on. This helps ensure our time together is as useful and focused as possible.

After the session many florists leave with clearer direction, practical next steps and renewed confidence in their business decisions.

Discovery Conversation

If you are curious about mentoring but unsure whether it would be right for you, I offer a short introductory call.

This is an informal 15–20 minute conversation where we can briefly discuss your business, the challenges you are currently navigating and whether mentoring would be helpful.

There is no obligation to book a session afterwards. The aim is simply to see if the mentoring approach feels like the right fit.
